Earlier this year, School of Seven Bells’ Benjamin Curtis was diagnosed with T-Cell Lymphoblastic Lymphoma and immediately began “aggressive” chemotherapy while awaiting a bone marrow transplant. To aid in his growing medical bills, Sweet Relief Musicians Fund, Wiz Kid Management, and New York-based creative agency GOST are curating a benefit concert on Thursday, August 22nd at New York’s Bowery Hotel.

Named after School of Seven Bells’ latest EP, ”Put Your Sad Down” will be headlined by Interpol frontman Paul Banks and The Strokes’ Albert Hammond, Jr., who will perform material from their respective solo catalogs. Between sets, The Strokes’ Fabrizio Moretti with Devendra Banhart, model/TV host Alexa Chung, and actress Danny Masterson (yes, Steven Hyde from That ’70s Show) will be DJing.

Throughout the evening, attendees will take part in a silent auction for items donated by a slew of A-listers, including The Black Keys, The Strokes, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Vampire Weekend, Regina Spektor, David Cross, Aziz Ansari, David Letterman, Jimmy Fallon, and many more. Bidding on several premiere lots will continue into the following week on CharityBuzz.org. Every cent earned will go to a fund established in Curtis’ name.

Tickets for the event range from $40 to $100, with the more pricier options including a limited edition/numbered vinyl copy of Put Your Sad Down. Head here to snag your seat now.
